The Lauren James Group was founded in 2007 by Karen Pfister and
Shirley Black.
President
Karen B. Pfister is President of the Lauren James
Group. Ms. Pfister has several years of government
contracting and management experience. She
started her career in program management and
project control at SAIC. She transitioned to
technical consulting supporting the Department of
Transportation and other clients. Ms. Pfister
continued her career at ExxonMobil working in safety and security
and managing the Executive Transportation Department and the
Information Management Services. Most recently, Ms. Pfister has
worked as a Program Manager for JB Management Solutions.
Ms. Pfister is active in her community and her church. She lives in
Brambleton, Virginia with her husband, Lewis, and their children
Lauren and James.
Executive Vice President
Shirley J. Black, CPA is Lauren James Group's Executive Vice
President. Ms. Black's 20 years of progressive experience include
the executive leadership and management of multimillion-dollar
corporations; providing advisory services to a wide variety of clients;
and managing consulting engagements on government contract
administration and training needs. Shirley has managed complex
engagements across the nation as well as in Haiti, Hungary, and
Africa.
